FAQ: Product Registration
I have lost my registration key. Can you please email it to me?
Yes! Simply use our Lost Registration Key page to immediately retrieve your key(s) via the e-mail address you gave us when you registered your software.
Where is my registration key?
If you have paid for your product via our online order form, or by fax, email, or postal mail, you will receive a Thanks for Your Payment email, usually within four hours of their receipt of your order (postal orders may take longer). Usually within twelve hours after the transaction you will receive your registration key (an alphanumeric code) in a separate email from Ultralingua. Copy this key from the email and paste it into the dialog that opens under the Key menu of the application. Be sure to keep a copy of your registration key and receipt in a secure area. Remember that it is against the law to share your code with anyone.
Where do I enter my registration key?
The "Key" menu is not on our website. It is one of the menus of the Ultralingua application. On the top of the application (Windows) or on the top of your screen (Macintosh), you will see a series of menus: File, Edit, etc. One of these menus should be "Key" (or the equivalent in another language). Under this menu, select the "Enter registration key" option, and paste in the registration key you received after payment. Remember that the Key must be entered exactly as it was sent; otherwise you will receive a bad key message.
Why doesn't my registration key work?
If you get a "Bad Key" message (or mauvaise clef, ungultige Kennnummer, clave equivocada), the problem is generally not due to our generating a faulty key.
Try the following:
1. Check to make sure you have entered the key exactly as it appears in the email we have sent you. The best way to do this is to copy the key from our email and paste it directly into the Key dialog (under the Key menu).
2. Note that the Key generally includes your name or your company name; it will not work without the entire key being entered.
3. Check to make sure that your receipt shows that you ordered the right product. For example, if you have mistakenly ordered the Dictionnaire de la langue franÁaise (all French dictionary of definitions) instead of the French-English Dictionary (bilingual translating dictionary), the key will not work. (Please note that if you have ordered incorrectly, we cannot provide you with a key for a different product.)
4. Check to make sure that you have ordered the right platform. For example, if you have mistakenly ordered a Windows product when you need a Macintosh version, the key will not work.
