Distinguo is a next generation search engine component that can distill the meaning of a text or a set of texts, and can then provide comparative information about those meanings. It can measure the similarity between two words, two sentences, or two texts written in natural language. It represents the latest research in description logics and mathematical models for searching.

Distinguo is available as a C++ fully documented API, in two different packages:

• Distinguo Index -- a tool for expanding search keywords to include inflected forms, synonyms, hypernyms, hyponyms, and other words related by meaning.
• Distinguo Context -- a tool for analyzing the meaning of full sentences or even of full texts; Distinguo Context can then match this text with other texts containing the same or similar ideas.
