Anti-utopia Modern term created to describe the anti-ideal place.
- Dystopia Bad or evil place; another and more precise term for anti-utopia.
- Cacotopia (Greek, = a bad place) Term used to refer to mountain paths, passes, etc. Patrick Geddes and Lewis Mumford used it to mean ‘hell’, but it is more commonly used to replace anti-utopia.
