Windows Version 7.0.1 is Available
Ultralingua has released updates to Ultralingua 7 for Windows! Windows version 7.0.1 is now an even more comprehensive language learning tool. Updates include:
The ability to add whole phrases to flashcard sets
Updated search features, making it easier to consecutively search for words
Added keyboard shortcuts, including:
Moving the focus to the search box (Ctrl+E)
Moving the focus to the results (Ctrl+H)
Increasing font size (Ctrl++) or decreasing font size (Ctrl+-)
Multiple data improvements
If you are an Ultralingua 7 for Windows user, the update to version 7.0.1 is free! Simply open your Ultralingua dictionary and click "Check for Updates" to update.
If you are a user with Ultralingua version 6 or lower, you pay only $19.95 (per language module) to upgrade.
Mac version 7.1.6
An update to Ultralingua's version 7 for Mac is available at Ultralingua! In addition to verb conjugation, full-screen core-animation flashcards, and integrated discussion forums, version 7.1.6 contains miscellaneous bug fixes and supports Ultralingua's new Klingon-English dictionary.
If you are a current Ultralingua 7 for Mac user, your update to version 7.1.6 is free! To get the free update, simply choose "Check for Updates" under your Ultralingua menu. You'll see one window titled "Software Update" describing the new version. You might see a second window titled "Dictionary Updates" telling you that an update is available for one or more of your dictionaries.
If you see both windows, then follow these steps for a successful installation:
In the "Dictionary Updates" window, click the "Download Now" button. This will install the latest dictionary data.
Then, in the "Software Update" window, click the "Install Update" button. This will install the 7.1.6 version.
After the update is complete, click the "Install and Relaunch" button. Ultralingua will close, then re-open with 7.1.6 installed and your new dictionary data ready for use.
If you only see the "Software Update" window, then simply click the "Install Update" button followed by the "Install and Relaunch" button.
If you have an older version of Ultralingua for Mac, you can upgrade for only $19.95.

Are you upgrading your Ultralingua dictionary and have custom entries you would like to migrate? If you have ever added new entries to your dictionary, follow the steps below to transfer them over.
Locate the Ultralingua dictionary folder. The default locations are:
For Mac: \Applications\Ultralingua\Dictionaries
For Windows: C:\Program Files\Ultralingua\Ultralingua 6\Dictionaries
All the dictionary files end in .ULD (Ultralingua Dictionary) and include the language as part of the name. Your custom dictionary file(s) include the word "additions." For example, custom entries in the English-Italian dictionary are saved in the file named "english-italian-additions.uld." Select your custom dictionary file(s)
Choose a separate location to paste your custom dictionary file(s) temporarily or simply Paste them to your desktop
Install Ultralingua 7
Once your installation is complete, you can simply copy and paste your custom dictionary file(s) back into the folder location as indicated below:
For Mac: \Applications\Ultralingua\Dictionaries\
For Windows: C:\Program Files\Ultralingua\Ultralingua 7\Dictionaries\
